We watched the 1st half of Mon. nite football & saw Green Bay do a good job. Next week it's Buffalo vs. Pittsburgh. Barb roots for Buff; Dale for Pitts - I'm in the middle.
We've had a humid Sept so far but the weekend will bring a change. So it will be closet cleaning time - put away summer clothes & bring gout Fall clothes. We were lucky tho, no 90 degree days in July or Aug.
The futon & frame arrived the week you left & Barb & I got it together. It takes up a lot of space in that little room. Then Barb decided she wanted a smaller TV & CR stand & ordered one from Penney's. That means the dresser has to be put somewhere & it will be the basement. Hope to get it down there Thurs nite when Lar is here to help Dale move it. The room looks nice & the futon is so nice & comfortable.
We decided to get slip covers for the sofa & love seat - ordered form Penney's. Navy blue with a small print. Last Thurs Kim & Barb did the love seat & it looks good. This week Barb & I worked on the sofa & we have the cushions to fit better using upholstery pins. Now the room is better color coordinated.
Hope the pkg. for Andy arrived O.K. & that the camera came thru in good condition.
Dale was on vacation last week & stripped the side door of the garage & put on a new threshold. He is so fussy & it looks like a new door. He bot a new know set. Now when I look out the kitchen window I have a nicer view.
He sees the probation once a month & that costs him 25.00 & has to go 5 Tues. nite for sessions on alcohol. Last nite was the first - 6-9 pm. About 30 there & he knew a couple of fellows. Said it was interesting. He said he has given up drinking. I'm glad he's home.
Last Thurs. Lar started putting the outside lights around the shrubs. Still has 4 to put up & they look good.
I'm helping Dad a lot more now. We bot a chair for the shower & I have to help him as he isn't that steady in the shower.
