Just remembered we don't have your new addressed but I'll write anyway.

[Noted at top of page.]  I'm "blind" - just noticed your address on the env. of your nice Mother's Day card.

Thanks so much for the lovely bouquet of flowers.  They look so nice on the dining room table.

We celebrated Lar's birthday yesterday because today Kim takes her Gram to Erie for a dress fitting.  Lar was going to go too, but decided against it as he gets too far behind in his outdoor extra work.  He couldn't work as late Sat. as they went to Holiday Inn for a Cancer Society "Tasting" event.  We had dinner at 7 pm as Kim & her Gram went to Pittsburgh to visit her cousin Chris.  She is a Soph. at Slippery Rock, a Phy. Ed. major & on the Water Polo team & they have been practicing extra hours as the team will go to Calif. for a special meet.  Chris (19 yrs) started getting headaches, went to the Dr, they put her in the Allegany Gen. Pitts hosp.  She had a stroke & a blood clot.  Very serious.  Next they have to operate but she isn't ready for it.  So Barb will take her place in the wedding.  She had the dress fitted - a size 12 & too big.  Shoes size 7 1/2 & Barb wears a 7 but she'll manage.  Dresses are Wedgewood blue & Barb says they are very pretty.  She's getting a lovely tan due to our unusual weather.  Hope it continues thru the wedding.

Kim's sister from Fla. won't be here either.  She is pregnant (a surprise as she tho't she couldn't get pg.) & the Dr. won't allow her to travel.  Her bro. from Calif. will give her away.  Plans are going well.

Geo. had his operation to release the pressure causing the pain & is doing well.  If all continues to go well, Linda & children, & Carolyn & Paul might drive out for the wedding.  Ruth & Rudy are the only ones coming.  Min wanted to come so much but he isn't well enough to make the trip.  Stella had her 2nd corneal (sp) implant & Svea isn't well enough, either, to travel.

Gen, Ed, John & Edna & Wally will come.  They'll stay at Penn Laurel.

How wonderful to be in your own home.  So much more room & freedom & now your payments go for what will be yours someday!!!  Nice to be able to putter around, etc.  We know you'll enjoy it.  Lots for us to see, come Fall.

Dad's going to play golf & I'm set to hang out clothes.

The Mets & Milwaukee need some kind of a push to get going again.

See you soon.
