Dad is upstairs working on a sermon; nothing special on T.V. & I just finished a library book.  So decided to write a letter.

We've been to the hospital a couple of times to see Ted Benson & all is going well for him.  Dad preaches for him Sun U& we'll go there for dinner after church.

Lar was here for supper & he mentioned he & Kim chose dishes, silverware & crystal glasses at the Bon Ton.  Registered there for gifts.  So people can get them a gift they want.  We'll be getting together to talk about the marriage service, the reception at church; menu for the rehearsal dinner, etc.  The wedding will be here before we know it.

Gen called.  John is taking classes at Worcester Tech for his Masters in Engineering.  Got a C in the course - he hoped it would have been better but he passed.  Is taking another course this term.

We won't go to the lake.  We'll want to see the new baby & with a trip to Mass. that will be enough.  And with some of Dad's family not in the best of health you never know when a trip would come up.  It wouldn't be as much fun without our children.  I don't mind - I'm looking forward to the visit to Ed and Gen's & spending a lot of time in the pool.  Won't even want to go shopping!  Can you believe that.

Vern Mathis' mother died - she was 96 - so we went to the funeral home.  She belonged to Grace Methodist.

Have a 730p. book by Barbara Bradford Taylor to read.  I've read others & liked them.

We plan to look for wallpaper for the eating area next week.  Will have to get started on housecleaning so its all done for May.  Cleaned Dale's room last summer & with no one using it, it hasn't gotten dirty.  Hope we have good weather as I need that to get into the right mood.

We had the annual meeting last Sun. after the service.  It was a little rough for the pastor & his wife.  Glad we never had a situation like that.  But he's not a worker - the pledges were less than last yr. & attendance is really down.  Nice to be retired with few problems.

Nothing more to write.
